Generally, you’d expect the homepage of your website to return a successful 200 status code when anyone tries to visit it. So we check for that on a daily basis to give you a quick way to know everything is working OK.
We’re not an uptime service, so we don’t check every minute for outages. But we do also let you check other status codes (301, 404 etc), if that’s what you expect to see from your homepage. So you can include it as part of the complete overview of your web properties.
